Noor Mehraab Garden sets a garden composition within an arched mehraab frame, its blooms and foliage built up from hand-cut glass across a pale ground. The arch is a recurring motif in subcontinental architecture, and here it draws the eye inward to the densest passages of inlay work.

Glass and mica inlay, known as thikri work, developed in the palace and haveli workshops of Rajasthan and Gujarat, where artisans set hand-cut mirror and coloured glass into plaster and wood so that lamplight would travel across a surface.
