Returns

If something is wrong, tell us. We will sort it out.

Here is what we cover, what we do not, and exactly how long you have.

48 hours

To tell us if a piece arrives damaged. Send photographs and we replace it, free.

21 days

To return a ready-to-ship piece if you change your mind, from the day it arrives.

Final sale

On made-to-order pieces, because they were made for you and cannot be resold.

If it arrives damaged

Get in touch within 48 hours of delivery with a few photographs of the piece and the packaging it came in.

We will arrange a replacement at no cost to you. We ask for the photographs quickly because they tell us whether the damage happened in transit, and that helps us protect the next order.

Once the original is back with us, your replacement is sent or put into production straight away.

If you change your mind

Ready-to-ship pieces can be returned within 21 days of delivery. That is a week longer than the law requires, because judging a piece properly means living with it on the wall for a few days.

It needs to reach us unused and in its original packaging. Write to us first at orders@indyra.eco with your order number, and we will send return instructions and the right address.

Return postage for a change of mind is yours to arrange and pay for. We are a small business and cannot absorb international return shipping, which we hope makes sense. We would recommend a tracked service.

Made-to-order pieces work differently. These are begun only after you order, by an artisan working to your specification, and cannot be resold to anyone else. They are final sale. This does not affect anything if the piece arrives damaged or is not as described — those are always covered.

Worth knowing

No two pieces are identical, and that is not a fault.

Every piece is made by hand. Mirror placement, thread density and linework all vary between examples of the same design, and small irregularities are part of how the work is made rather than a defect.

We would far rather say that here than have it come as a surprise when you open the box. If your piece looks meaningfully different from what you expected, write to us anyway — there is a line between natural variation and something being wrong, and we would rather look at it than argue about it.

Practical bits

Where returns go

Our studio in India, or a UK address — whichever is easier and cheaper for you. Ask us first and we will give you the right one and make sure it is expected.

Refunds

Back to the way you paid, once the piece reaches us. Timing then depends on your bank or card provider.

Trade and project orders

Commissioned and contract work is handled separately, under the terms of your quote. Talk to us.

Before you do anything

Just write to us. We read every message ourselves and would rather help than process a form.

This page is a plain-English summary. Our full returns and refunds policy is the formal version, and nothing here affects your statutory rights.

Still unsure

Ask before you buy, not after.

If you are unsure about size, colour or whether a piece suits your room, write to us first. See also our shipping and delivery page.
