Gift Card
You could just choose something.
People do, and sometimes it goes beautifully. But a piece of wall art is a decision about a room you haven't sat in, in a light you haven't seen, above a sofa you may not have met.
The one British survey we could find on housewarming gifts put decorative prints among the ten worst things to turn up with. Candles were on the list too, which rather narrows the field.
Nobody has ever been disappointed by being trusted to choose.

What they'd be choosing from
Forty-eight pieces at the moment, each one begun after somebody orders it. These drift past on their own — rest a cursor on any of them to stop and have a proper look.
How it works
Pick an amount
Anything from £10 to £500. Add a message if you'd like one.
It arrives by email
To you or to them, on a date you choose. Print it if an email feels thin.
They choose the piece
The craft, the size and the frame finish. Made to order, about five weeks.
Together
Four of you, one proper present.
Our pieces run from £150 to £625. That is a great deal for one person and very little split between a few.
Everyone puts in what they'd have spent on a candle. They end up with something on the wall.
- One of you starts. Buy a card for whatever you're putting in, and send it to their email.
- Send everyone else this page. No pot to join, no deadline, no spreadsheet.
- Each person buys their own card for whatever they like, to the same email address.
- They use them together at checkout and put the lot towards one piece.
Works out neatly for a round number of people and just as well for an awkward one.
What each amount does
Worth being straight about this. Below £150 a card goes towards a piece rather than buying one outright, which is exactly the point if there are several of you.
The practical bits
Delivery
By email, usually within the hour. You can set a date if you're organised, which most of us aren't.
Expiry
None. Walls take time, and nobody should be hurried into a decision by a date on a voucher.
Any currency
Spendable wherever we sell, at the rate on the day. Nothing is lost in the conversion.
